After I read this research study, I tried to walk and write. I do not have any walking work stations, crazy that I am, simply tried to walk on the hard floor, and work on my computer. OH! My! I could not even type a single sentence. But better read this post because you will get some wonderful insights.

Wikipedia defines this beautifully, as a treadmill workstation is a computer desk that is adapted so that the user walks on the treadmill, while performing office tasks.

What does research say about walking workstations?

Walking workstations can improve not only physical, but also mental health during the work day, a new study has found. Researchers say that regardless of a person’s exercise habits or body mass index, these wonder stations promote health benefits. Persons who do not exercise or overweight can experience both short term physical and psychological benefits.

The study researchers found that persons who worked on walking work stations had higher task satisfaction, experienced less boredom and stress when compared to those in the sitting and standing work stations.

If you are all ears, then I am going to tell you good news. Scientists say that natural light in offices boost health. Office workers with more natural light exposure at the office had longer sleep duration, better sleep quality, more physical activity and better quality of life, compared to office workers with less exposure to natural light.
