We should be more cautious about saying that it definitively “resets the nervous system,” cures chronic stress, or produces a specific hormonal outcome in everyone.

It is also important not to assume that every symptom associated with stress is caused by high cortisol.

That is a strong marketing claim.
But a relaxation session should not be interpreted as literally replacing two hours of biological sleep.
Sleep is an active physiological process involving multiple stages and complex changes in brain activity, hormones, metabolism, immune function, and memory.
A short relaxation session may help you feel calmer or more rested.
It may be a useful supplement to a healthy sleep routine.

Not necessarily.
