The researchers point out those little things such as reading a story to the kids and inquiring about the day can go a long way in strengthening the bonds. A study found that frequent family suppers contributed to good mental health in adolescents. These family suppers lead to fewer emotional and behavioral problems, greater emotional well-being, more trusting and helpful towards others and higher life satisfaction among young people.
