How to prepare homemade coconut milk?

Wash the coconut meat, then cut it into small pieces. Grind it into a coarse mixture. Add ¾ cup of water and blend the mixture for 2 minutes. Strain the milk using a muslin cloth. Press the pulp gently to extract the remaining milk; the resulting liquid is the thick coconut milk.
If you want thin milk, then grind the flesh again using 1 cup of water and remove the juice. Bottle the milk and store it in the fridge for 4-5 days or in the freezer for up to two months.
