What a great thought from the Father of the Nation? I believe that optimism is the essence that makes life worth living for. The feeling of positivity not only raises the bar in your performance, but also has tremendous health benefits and keeps you in the pink of your health. Oh! How much I love to write about optimism!
Daily struggles and some harsh thoughtless words, from those closest can take the wind out of your sail. There was a time in my life when I went through a rough patch. Just doing my stuff day after day, enduring life and not enjoying it.
Then out of the blue life began to speak to me! It was a complete surprise, the least of what I had expected. But it was glorious! Are you curious to know about it? Just wait a moment. I will tell you in the end.
I have a beautiful garden on my balcony, just a small one and nothing big to brag about it. But this garden is the place I love most. I do my early morning meditation say 4:30 a.m. sitting in my garden.
You will find herbs such as parsley, coriander and beautiful flowering plants and a good luck charm bamboo plant. You can find some of the fresh, tasty onion sprigs in my garden.
One fine day I was lost in my own thoughts, really saddened by some thoughtless words of those closest. I was watering my plants. And when I watered an evergreen plant, out came a bird suddenly. My heart skipped a beat!
After this, I began to watch this evergreen plant and to my amazement found that, a young pigeon couple had found that my garden was a safe haven, to build their nest and to start a family.
After seeing this something broke inside of me, all my negativity and sadness flew away to another galaxy. And I found optimism, positivity, happiness and a sense of gratitude taking root inside of me.
You know what? If you cherish something and when you find that some highly esteemed person honors your feelings, then that gives you a sense of hope. I think you understand what I say?
My little garden is my most cherished place, and it is Mother Nature – that is life itself honors my passion. The young pigeons have built their nest and have laid two eggs. Both of them take turns to look after the eggs.
I feed them some really good grains to keep them healthy. I am waiting for the day when the little ones will hatch and enter this amazing world. I am humbled by the birds’ devotion.
Be it sunshine, or wind or cold, they just sit on the eggs to keep them warm and to bring a new life into this world. These birds are not deterred by the harsh climate, or saddened by the heat of the sun. Their mission is to bring hope, optimism and new life into this world and they are completing their mission with utmost sincerity.
